Randee Garretson
I
am the person who will be working one on one with each adult,
student and parent – the Licensed Davis® Facilitator – providing the
Davis Dyslexia Correction® Program, the Davis Math Mastery® Program,
the DavisÔ
Attention Mastery Program, and the DavisÔ
Reading Program
for Young Learners.
I have a personal understanding of the impact language and learning
difficulties have on children. Raised in a home with deaf parents, I
found early on the significance of language and soon regarded
American Sign Language as my first language. I have since served as
a sign language interpreter for the deaf and as a sign language
instructor. I recognized the significance of using sign
language to better communicate with my two children as infants and
toddlers and they in turn have done the same with my four
grandchildren! It’s a wonderful thing!
For over twelve years I have taught elementary school and middle
school reading and math in the public school systems of Texas and
Florida, working very closely with the wide spectrum of exceptional
children: deaf, hard of hearing, language or learning disabled,
gifted, attention deficit with and without hyperactivity – ADD/ADHD.
My bachelor's degree is in Elementary Education, with certification
specialties in Language and Learning Disabilities, Reading, English
and ESOL. I am an active member of the Pasco County Reading Council
and the Florida Reading Association, and past president and founder
of the Land O’ Lakes branch of The All Children’s Hospital Guild.

International (DDAI) Symposium.
I was privileged to work personally on case studies, attend
workshops and train directly with Ronald Davis in Burlingame,
California and received my license from the Davis Dyslexia
Association International in August of 2001. Becoming a licensed
facilitator for the Davis Dyslexia Correction Programs fueled my
passion for helping adults and children with reading and other
learning difficulties because I see one success after another! It is
an honor to work with extremely gifted and creative people every
day!
My mission is to continue to explore the positive talents that lead
to reading, writing, math and attention difficulties. I am dedicated
to that challenge and to helping adults and children by guiding them
to learn to overcome their difficulties and reach their full
potential. I believe strongly in the value, the uniqueness and
potential of each individual, and I maintain success is possible for
everyone. As a Davis Dyslexia Correction® Program facilitator, I
have the opportunity to provide adults and children new learning
tools and practical skills to develop their individual learning
styles so they can be life long, confident learners and
self-controlled, contributing members of society.
